Deseronto woman charged in Belleville theft

A woman from Deseronto has been charged in connection with a theft case in Belleville.

On November 24th (Monday) at 4:09pm, Belleville Police responded to a reported theft at a business on Bell Boulevard.

Staff reported that a female was observed concealing merchandise before leaving the store without attempting to pay. Upon arrival, officers located a female suspect, took her into custody, and recovered the stolen items.

As a result of investigation, a 42-year-old Deseronto woman was arrested and charged with:

· Theft under $5000

· Fail to comply with probation order

· Failure to comply with a release order

She was held for a bail hearing. No name was released.
