Hospice Quinte’s second annual Casino Royale was a massive success, raising $101,055.
The gala-style event held on Saturday, November 15th saw attendees take part in a variety of casino style games, dancing, and camaraderie at the National Air Force Museum of Canada in Trenton. It is the premier fundraising event for Hospice Quinte, and this year’s event was one of the most successful fundraisers in the history of Hospice Quinte.
“We are absolutely thrilled this event was such a success,” said Hospice Quinte Executive Director Petra Lepage. “Not only did we pass our fundraising goal, but everyone there had a wonderful time playing games or hitting the dance floor. It was an amazing night that exceeded all our expectations in every way.”
Hospice Quinte would like to thank presenting sponsor Klemencic Homes, as well as all the other sponsors and hard-working volunteers that made the event possible. A special thank you also goes out to the members of the planning committee for their tireless efforts to make the night as entertaining as possible.
“Congratulations go out to Hospice Quinte and all donors involved in this year’s Casino Royale,” said Adam Klemencic of Klemencic Homes. “A big thanks to the staff and volunteers on the organizing committee who were able to put on a well-organized, unique, and fun event. The quality of the people in this organization and their noble cause allows our family, and many others, to want to contribute whenever the opportunity arises and we couldn’t be prouder to be involved with Hospice Quinte as the presenting sponsor of this event.”
The big winner of the Golden Ticket prize for the night was Katie Cudmore, who will be taking a trip to the Cayman Islands with $2000 to spend however she likes. Congrats Katie!
“I am so grateful that I have the honour of supporting Hospice Quinte and being a part of fundraising for such an amazing organization,” said Hospice Quinte Volunteer and Event Chair Kim Mahoney. “I am grateful for the many community members who supported the event with their ease of generosity.”
Hospice Quinte would also like to thank Occasions by the Bay for generously donating the excellent food served at the event.
