By Brock Ormond Nov 20, 2025 | 2:34 PM

The 401 has been shut down in the Brighton area following a vehicle fire Thursday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. on the Eastbound Highway between Percy St. and County Rd. 25, near the Big Apple in Colborne.

All lanes have been closed at County Rd. 25 due to the blaze and visibility issues from smoke.

Motorists should plan an alternate route.
