Between the Bunz opens in Quinte West

Local entrepreneurs Adam Verrecchia and Shannon Donovan have opened a new take-out restaurant, Between the Bunz, located at 367 Dundas St. W in Trenton.

After five successful years running Downtown Julie Brown’s Food Trailer, the duo decided it was time to create a year-round, locally owned space where everyone can enjoy great food in every season.

“We’ve had so much support from the community over the years, and we wanted to give back by opening a place that feels like home,” said Donovan.

“This is a place where people can stop in for a good meal, a friendly chat, and that local touch.”

Between the Bunz serves up homemade hamburgers, speciality poutines, and all-time favourites such as Toronto Street Meat (hotdogs and sausages grilled to perfection). Their Thursday chicken wings and Friday hand-batteredfish specials are quickly becoming local favourites. Everything is made fresh and with care, continuing the same hometown flavour that fans of their food trailer have come to love.

In celebration of their opening, Between the Bunz is giving away a free small fry with a donation to the Trenton Care & Share Food Bank. They will be accepting donations throughout the month of November.

Between the Bunz is open from 10:30am to 7pm, seven days a week. Contact 613-394-9005 for orders or further questions.
