Seasonal sidewalk closures in effect Nov 1 in the County

By Hailey MacDonald Nov 1, 2025 | 7:41 AM

Seasonal sidewalk closures will come into effect today in various hamlets and some urban areas in Picton, Wellington, and Consecon.

County By-Law No. 11-2020 designates specific sidewalks that will not be maintained during the winter.

The municipality has not previously performed winter maintenance on the designed sidewalks or is unable to do so because of physical obstacles.

The seasonal closures remain in effect until April 15, 2026.
