The Trenton Golden Hawks are winners of three in a row after a 6-3 victory over the Newmarket Hurricanes.
A pair of newer faces, Pacey Adduono and Thomas Harnett, paced the offensive attack.
A couple of weeks after getting trounced 7-3 in Newmarket, the Hawks didn’t let an early Damir Cherniavskii goal 42 seconds in throw them off.
Evan Norris answered a couple minutes later with his seventh of the year on a rebound from Jax Martin and Harnett.
Nicholas Muzzati put the ‘Canes ahead again 2-1 at the 11:25 mark, but two quick strikes in just 11 seconds from Charlie Gage (6th) and Harnett nearly completely flipped the game on its head.
Aiden Lee did count for Newmarket quickly in the second just 39 seconds in, but it soon became the Adduono show.
The former Peterborough Pete sunk home an even strength tally at 3:52, before his buried a powerplay marker just 31 seconds later after a Newmarket interference penalty.
Trenton kept the pressing ‘Canes at arms length for the remainder of the night and Kaiden Harmon’s empty-netter with a little more than two minutes left put the game away.
Beckett Ewart, Ryan Foley, Norris, Harmon and Harnett all recorded multiple points, with one assist each going to Martin, Wyatt Gregory, Ethan Brassard and Liam Fisher.
Eli Zucker stopped 30 of 33 for his third straight personal victory.
The Hawks are lifting off to Toronto next for a date with the St. Michael’s Buzzers at 2 p.m. Sunday.
