The Central Hastings OPP has recognized the success of a recent community food drive that brought residents together in support of local families in need.
On Saturday, October 3, members of the Central Hastings OPP Auxiliary Unit partnered with Madoc Foodland for the annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive. Through the generosity of community members, more than $300 in monetary donations and 110 bags of food were collected in support of a local non-profit organization.
The event highlighted the strong spirit of giving within the Central Hastings community and demonstrated the ongoing commitment of residents to help those in need.
“The support shown by our community was outstanding,” said members of the Central Hastings OPP Auxiliary Unit. “We would like to thank everyone who stopped by to make a donation and helped make this event a success.”
The OPP remains committed to building strong partnerships within the communities it serves and supporting initiatives that make a positive difference for residents.
The OPP is always looking for community-minded volunteers to join its Auxiliary Program. Auxiliary members play an important role in supporting community events, public education, and crime prevention initiatives throughout the communities they serve.
