Their 3-1 record in the round robin placed them second and earned a bye to the semifinals, where they faced the hometown Barrie Colts.

The U15 Cozy Home Heating & Air Conditioning Quinte Red Devils battled through a busy three-game road weekend, earning a hard-fought overtime tie against the Barrie Jr. Colts before facing tough challenges against the North Central Predators and York-Simcoe Express.
Friday, October 16 @ Barrie Jr. Colts
The Red Devils kicked off their road trip in an action-packed matchup that came down to the wire. The Colts opened the scoring in the first period, but Quinte responded to even things up. The second frame saw plenty of offence, with Barrie striking first before the Red Devils caught fire, lighting the lamp three times to take control of the momentum. A late power-play goal from the Colts kept them within striking distance heading into the third. Barrie added another power-play marker early in the final frame before finding the back of the net again. With just over two minutes remaining, the Red Devils dug deep and buried the equalizer to force overtime. Both teams battled through the extra frame, but neither could find the winner, settling for a hard-fought tie. Ben Larmer stood tall between the pipes for QRD. Goal scorers were Jamieson Dee, Kingston Holzmann (2), Colton Douglas and Eli Kelly-Clarke. Assists went to Dee (3), Nathaniel Blue, Kelly-Clarke and Grayson Hughes.
Saturday, October 17 @ North Central Predators
North Central opened the scoring in the first period and added another in the second before Quinte answered back to keep the game within reach. The Predators then broke things open in the third, scoring three straight goals to extend their lead. Quinte refused to go quietly, responding with two power-play goals to put some pressure back on the Predators late in the game, but the comeback fell short in a 5-3 decision. Ben Larmer worked hard between the pipes. Quinte’s goals came from Keaton Clute, Hewett Tejnor and Colton Douglas, while assists were credited to Nathaniel Blue, Cooper Plumley (2), Antonio Auciello, Keaton Clute and Levi Mallory.
Sunday, October 18 @ York-Simcoe Express
The Red Devils wrapped up the weekend in a defensive battle that remained scoreless through the opening two frames. U16 – Red Devils Show Grit and Heart Across Tough Three-Game Road Trip
A tough three-game road stretch produced competitive, hard-fought battles for the U16 Red Devils, including a tight matchup against the Raiders and an end-to-end weekend doubleheader against the Predators.
Tuesday night in Ajax, Quinte struck first to set an early tone, then battled through a full 50 minutes against a strong Raiders side. The boys competed with heart on every shift, stayed connected in the hard areas and never stopped pushing. It stayed tight right to the end, with effort and resilience on full display.
Over the weekend, the Red Devils played a pair of road games against the North Central Predators. On Saturday, the first period was back-and-forth. NCP scored first, and despite the Red Devils continuing to push, the Predators took a 3-0 win in a fast-paced, physical, end-to-end game, with their final goal coming into an empty net. The boys recharged and refocused for Sunday’s rematch at MASK Arena, bringing a relentless, physical effort and competing with intensity and determination on every shift.
Thank you to everyone who travelled to support the team, and to the Predators for the battle. On to the next one!

U18 – Red Devils Go Unbeaten at Ottawa Jr. Sens Showcase
The Peter Smith GM U18 Red Devils travelled to Ottawa this weekend for the Ottawa Jr. Sens Showcase. The action got started Friday with a spirited game against the Sudbury Jr. Wolves. A tight-checking contest was scoreless heading into the third period before Zach Szczurek finally broke through with the lone goal of the game for a 1-0 Quinte win. Jonathan Bonter and Jared Burgess provided the assists, and Nathan Ferriss stood tall between the pipes for the shutout.
Game 2 on Friday evening brought another fast-paced affair with the Halifax Macs. Nate Rashotte opened the scoring for QRD early in the first with help from Cameron Shaw. Halifax tied it up shortly after, and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Saturday morning brought another opportunity to punch a ticket to the round of 16 with a game against the Halton Hurricanes. Halton opened the scoring in the first, but Darien Smith provided an immediate response, and Zach Szczurek found the back of the net to close out the first period with a 2-1 lead, with Kalum Phillips picking up the assist. The teams traded goals in the second, with Nate Rashotte netting his second of the tournament with help from Cam Shaw and Phillips. Halton tied the game late for a 3-3 final.
