The Belleville Chamber of Commerce has confirmed they will be hosting a municipal candidates forum at The Empire Theatre on Tuesday, September 29 to provide local residents and voters with an opportunity to meet the candidates and hear their perspectives on local issues. The event is free and open to the community to attend.
The Empire Theatre event, hosted in part by the Belleville Chamber of Commerce and the Central Lakes Association of Realtors and filmed by YourTV Quinte features Mayoral and Ward 1 candidates. The evening will begin with councillor candidates the opportunity to answer to issues identified through public input and the second half will feature the moderated debate format with the mayoral candidates.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm with the formal agenda starting at 7:00 pm. Members of the public are welcome to come when doors open for an opportunity to meet directly with the candidates and introduction videos will be screened in the theatre during this time.
