The Kingston Police are actively searching for an inmate who was unaccounted for during the 11:15 a.m. count at the minimum-security unit of Collins Bay Institution on Thursday.
49-year-old Mason Jenkins is described as a white male, 5’9, approximately 255lbs with a fair complexion, brown eyes and brown hair, currently shaved bald. Jenkins was last seen wearing a light green jacket, blue jeans and rubber boots.
Jenkins is currently serving a life sentence for First Degree Murder and Possess Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Both Kingston Police and Collins Bay Institution have confirmed the escape.
