More information is expected Thursday afternoon as the investigation continues into a shooting at and around the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville on Sunday night.
Belleville Chief of Police Murray Rodd and Ontario Solicitor General Michael Kerzner will deliver remarks to members of the media at 2 pm.
The Belleville Police Service issued a statement on Wednesday thanking the public for their support while also asking for privacy for the family of Constable Jeff Smith, who continues to recover in hospital after being injured in an exchange of gunfire near the synagogue.
The suspect in the case, 29-year-old Sean Ward of Quinte West, died of his injuries in hospital on Monday night.
