The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in an impaired driving investigation.
On Monday, August 3, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a collision on Wallbridge Road, Quinte West, led Quinte West OPP to suspect a motorist may have been under the influence of alcohol. An ASD was used, resulting in the arrest of the driver for being impaired.
Vincent GOYETCHE, age 37, from Quinte West, was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on September 17, 2026. Additionally, their licence was suspended for 90 days.
