Cobourg Police have arrested suspects in connection with three separate theft investigations on Monday.
While on general patrol, officers observed an individual known to be wanted in relation to a theft reported at a
business in the area of Spring Street and King Street West in Cobourg on July 18, 2026. As a result of the
investigation, a 25-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and two counts of
failing to comply with probation.
In a second incident, officers arrested an individual wanted in connection with a theft investigation involving
property stolen from a residence on July 13, 2026. As a result, a 46-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and
charged with theft under $5,000.
In a third incident, officers responded to a theft report from a business in the area of Elgin Street West where
property had been reported stolen. Following a review of surveillance footage, police identified a suspect and
located the individual in the downtown area. As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old Cobourg man was
arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.
All three were released on an undertaking with future court dates.
