In one of the tighter Mayoral races of the night in Quinte, it was Jamie DeMarsh coming out on top in Tweed.

The former councillor won the seat by 76 votes with 1,068 compared to closest challenger Peter Valiquette’s 992.

It was also a narrow fight for Deputy Mayor, with Jim Flieler winning by a slim 15-vote edge over Justin Bray (1100 to 1075).

Kimberley Alinard, Kali Dykstra and Richard Rashotte all made it to the three available council seats.

Dykstra finished with the most council votes, at 1,769.
