Single-lane closures in place on Highway 49 for Skyway Bridge maintenance work

Residents that frequently cross the Quinte Skyway Bridge from Tyendinaga/Deseronto to Prince Edward County should be aware of single-lane closures overnight.

The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte stated these closures will be in place on Highway 49 from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday for maintenance work.

Officials say flagging operations will be in place to allow traffic to safely travel through the work zone.

Drivers are advised to prepare for minor delays and use caution when travelling through the area.
