Swimming in the main pool at the Templeman Aquatic Centre inside the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre will not happen until next week, according to the City of Belleville.
The pool has been shut down due to what city officials say is an ‘unplanned maintenance issue.’
All lane swims and programs scheduled in the main pool for the remainder of today through Friday, July 31 have been cancelled.
The city says that the therapy and preschool pools are also closed, but are anticipated to reopen on Thursday.
As there are no programs scheduled this weekend or on the Civic Holiday next Monday, Aug. 3, the main pool will reopen on Tuesday, August 4.
Residents looking for an alternative swimming location are encouraged to visit the Kinsmen Community Outdoor Pool, which will remain open during this time, weather permitting.
