The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is advising residents that the Brighton Detachment office will be closed to the public on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, due to scheduled building maintenance.
Members of the public requiring in-person assistance during normal business hours, may attend either of the following Northumberland OPP locations:

A notice will be posted at the Brighton Detachment public entrance advising visitors of the temporary closure. The direct outdoor OPP telephone located at the detachment will remain operational and available for public use throughout the closure.
Police services will continue uninterrupted, and frontline officers will remain available to respond to calls for service.
Residents requiring immediate police assistance should call 9-1-1. For non-emergency police matters, contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
The Brighton Detachment is expected to resume normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
