A young lad from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory brought in the catch of a lifetime in a weekend fishing tournament.
8-year-old Rowisawakhon Brinklow, his father Eli Brinklow and his poppy Don Brinklow went out fishing on Friday for the Ontario Salmon Derby.
Rowisawakhon caught his first ever salmon and it was a big one, taking second overall with an astounding weight of 26.94 LBS.
Representatives of his family passed along their thanks to Rays Cottages for allowing them to dock and weigh the fish.
Thanks also went out to Sakayena Charters and Chris Brant for taking the three generations out for this amazing experience.
