Members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with EMS and Fire, responded to a fatal single-vehicle collision involving a pick-up truck north of Napanee.
On Friday, July 24, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., OPP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision near the intersection of Highway 41 and Highway 7 in Kaladar.
As a result of the collision, the driver, a 64-year-old resident of Ottawa, was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Highway 41 was closed in both directions, between Highway 7 to Flinton Road in Kaladar, for approximately four hours while the OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) team assisted with the investigation. The road has since reopened.
