Belleville Police are looking for witnesses to a daytime robbery that happened earlier this week.
On Monday afternoon, Belleville Police investigated a robbery in the area of Pepper Avenue.
At approximately 1:05 p.m., an elderly male was approached by a male and female who forcibly removed his gold chain and attempted to replace it with a counterfeit chain. The suspects also attempted to remove the victim’s gold watch but were unsuccessful.
The suspects are described as a male and a female and were operating a white Chevrolet Equinox.
