Next week will likely begin with some big news on the commercial development front in Belleville.
Mayor Neil Ellis has confirmed to our newsroom that he will be making a statement at Belleville Council’s regularly scheduled meeting (at 4 pm) about a “large commercial retailer” that is looking at Belleville for a potential future development.
He would not confirm which company he was referring to, but there have been many stories over the past few years about a planned COSTCO complex on Bell Blvd.
Ellis made a similar statement a few weeks ago during his State of the City Address, though he also wouldn’t confirm which company he was referring to at that time.
We will know more after the meeting on Monday.
