Tree removal in Picton results in closure of Short Street Thurday

Short Street west of downtown Picton serves as a key shortcut for drivers this time of year.

Hydro One plans to remove a hazardous tree along the busy road on Thursday. The work will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. During that time, Short Street between Washburn Street and Downes Avenue will be closed. Only local traffic will be able to proceed.

Prince Edward County staff are once again reminding driver to plan ahead, and respect all road closure signs.
