OPP continue to investigate fatal collision on Highway 37

Central Hasting OPP have shared more details about the fatal collision on Highway 37, Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision shortly after 9:30 a.m., on Highway 37 in Belleville near Phillipston Road.

Police believe that the driver, the lone occupant in the vehicle, lost control. The vehicle left the road and the 30-year-old driver from Belleville was ejected. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not shared the driver’s name. A section of Highway 37 near the collision was closed to traffic until 4:20 p.m.
