A long-time Quinte West Chamber of Commerce CEO is calling it a career.
The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday that Suzanne Andrews, who has been a driving force behind the Chamber’s growth and regional impact for two decades, will retire from her role as Chief Executive Officer at the end of June.
Andrews began her service with the Chamber in January 2006, marking the beginning of a transformational period for the organization.
For 20 years, Suzanne has promoted the Chamber’s mission: advocating for local business, fostering economic opportunity, and strengthening community prosperity. Her leadership has guided the Chamber through economic shifts, technological change, and a growing regional business landscape.
Andrews has also contributed beyond the local level through her involvement with provincial organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Ontario and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber added she played a key role in the Chamber’s 75th Anniversary celebrations in 2025, helping to honour its rich heritage while advancing its modern vision and member focused direction.
Her tenure positioned the Chamber as a collaborative, forward thinking hub for businesses across Quinte West and the broader Bay of Quinte region, growing the organization from 245 to almost 500 members.
Andrews stated it has been a privilege to serve as CEO of the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce.
“For twenty years, I have been a proud steward of this organization—one that reflects the strength, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of our community. I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated board members, staff, partners, and business leaders who care deeply about the future of Quinte West,” she stated.
“Together, we have built momentum that I know will continue long after my time in this role. I will always remain grateful for the trust placed in me and for the opportunity to support the businesses that are the heartbeat of our region.”
“Suzanne’s leadership has shaped the Chamber’s identity for a generation,” said Jeff McKerracher, president of the Quinte West Chamber. “Her leadership has left a lasting mark on our Chamber and the community. We are incredibly thankful for her years of commitment, and the Board is dedicated to ensuring a thoughtful and successful transition into this next chapter.”
The Chamber’s Board of Directors has begun a comprehensive search for its next CEO and the job posting can be found on the Work in Quinte job site. Suzanne will remain engaged in the transition to ensure continuity for Chamber members and partners.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Suzanne over her 20 years at the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce,” said Linda Lisle, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism for the City of Quinte West. “She established a legacy rooted in integrity, collaboration, and a deep passion for supporting local business success. Her positive influence will resonate throughout the Chamber and the broader business community for years to come.”
Representing businesses across all sectors, the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce is part of Canada’s largest accredited chamber network. The organization provides advocacy, professional development, business resources, and strategic partnerships that help shape a thriving economic future for the region.
