Seven arrested on 54 charges in huge Napanee drug investigation

A month-long investigation in Napanee has led to seven people facing extensive drug and firearm charges.

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), and officers from the Durham Region Police Tactical Unit, executed search warrants on residences on Dundas Street in Napanee and Mount Pleasant Avenue in Whitby. Following a search of the residences, police located just over 16 grams of suspected fentanyl, just over 1 kilogram of suspected cocaine, just under 50 Percocet tablets, a fully loaded handgun and ammunition, just under $20,000 in mixed Canadian and American currency and approximately $40,000 in jewelry from proceeds of crime. Officers also seized cell phones, scales and materials associated with drug trafficking.

Lennox and Addington OPP have laid charges against seven people.

Jermain SIMMONDS, a 33-year-old from Whitby was charged with:

  •  Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Percocet for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of firearm contrary to a prohibition order
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
  • Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited

Karen MILLS, a 35-year-old from Whitby was charged with:

  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Percocet for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence

Dionne WILSON, a 55-year-old from Whitby and Charles WILSON, a 36-year-old from Whitby were charged jointly with:

  •  Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Jayden VINCEANTHONY, a 24-year-old from Pickering, Justin HUTSON, a 42-year-old, from Napanee and Sarah VOSS, a 39-year-old, from Tyendinaga were charged jointly with:

  •  Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of Percocet for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence

VINCEANTHONY was additionally charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

Six accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on February 27, 2026.

Dionne WILSON was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date.
