Belleville Police arrest man on outstanding warrant

Police arrested a Belleville man who was wanted on a number of outstanding warrants on Monday.

After 3 p.m., Belleville Police conducted a traffic stop in the city’s north end.

Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed a male in the passenger seat who was known to have outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrants for criminal
harassment and five counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

As a result of investigation, a 22yearold Belleville man was arrested on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

His name was not released.
