Belleville Big Dills Will Defend Their Title Against Durkin’s Gherkins in 4th Annual YMCA Pickleball Tournament

The YMCA of Central East Ontario is thrilled to announce the return of its 4th Annual Pickleball Tournament, presented by TaskForce Engineering, taking place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the PicklePlex Social Club, 336 N Front St., Belleville.

This popular community event brings together fun, teamwork, friendly rivalry, and local fundraising—all supporting the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.

This year, 42 participants from Belleville and Quinte West will take part in a game-day draft to build two competing teams. Each participant is also raising $1,000 in pledges leading up to the event. Co-chair and captain of the defending champions, the Belleville Big Dills, Sarah Rozema-Seaton, added, “As co-chair of the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, I’m proud to support an initiative that ensures every child has access to safe spaces, positive role models, and opportunities to thrive, regardless of their financial situation. Events like this pickleball fundraiser bring our community
together for a common purpose: investing in children and strengthening the future of our community.”

All proceeds from the tournament go directly to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, which helps ensure that every child—regardless of financial circumstances—has the opportunity to grow, connect, and succeed.

The YMCA welcomes the support of community partners to help make this year’s event a great success. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact:
