OPP investigating woman’s death in Port Hope

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a death in the Municipality of Port Hope.

On February 19, 2026 (Thursday), at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the area of County Road 65 and 7th Line where a 35-year-old female was located deceased.

At this time, police believe that foul play is not suspected however the investigation is being continued by the Northumberland Crime Unit with assistance from Forensic Identification Services (IDENT), in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner (OCC).

The location was held until shortly after 3:00 pm on Saturday, when investigators were cleared from the address.
