Charges were laid against two suspects following two separate reports of intimate partner violence in Belleville on Wednesday.
At 5:55 am, Belleville Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the city’s east end.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to a female who reported that a verbal argument escalated and that a male had pushed her into a door and then onto

As a result of police investigation, a 28–year–old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with assault. He was released on an Undertaking with a
scheduled court date in April.
About an hour later at 6:55am, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a report of a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to a female who reported that a verbal argument escalated and a male had punched her in the face.
As a result of police investigation, a 33–year–old Deseronto man, was arrested and charged with:
• Assault
• Fail to comply with a probation order
He was held for a bail hearing.
