By Paul Martin Feb 17, 2026 | 12:51 PM

The special Belleville City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Bay of Quinte MPP Tyler Allsopp and MPP Ric Bresee of Hastings–Lennox and Addington has been postponed.

City officials say the meeting will be rescheduled, and a new date will be announced once confirmed.

Several issues were set to be discussed, including planning and development legislation, housing, homelessness and healthcare funding, downloaded costs and responsibilities, and communications with MPP offices.

No reason for the postponement was given.
