College Street East to be closed at CN Tracks next week in Belleville

The City of Belleville is informing residents of a planned road closure on College Street East for necessary upgrades.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 5 at 6 a.m. until Friday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m., College Street East at the CN Railway Tracks, west of the Airport Parkway intersection will be closed to all traffic.
The closure will allow CN to complete necessary railway track upgrades.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, expect delays and use the following detour routes throughout the duration of the work:
  • Industrial Park access: Adam Street to University Avenue to Jamieson Bone Road
  • College Street detour: Centre Street to Adam Street
  • Traffic from Airport Parkway: Jamieson Bone Road to University Avenue
Closures will also begin Monday, Oct. 5 at 6 a.m. on Airport Parkway for culvert replacement. Airport Parkway will generally remain open to vehicles and pedestrians throughout construction; however, traffic disruptions and detours will be required at various stages of the project.
