Belleville Police is acknowledging social media posts that have been recently circulated surrounding a ‘recent interaction’ with an officer from its service.
In a statement, Chief Murray Rodd noted the BPS is ‘actively reviewing’ the matter and gathering information.
The Chief added the police service is committed to accountability and maintaining public confidence.
Members of the public with concerns regarding the conduct of police officers are encouraged to use the complaint processes available through the BPS website or contact the Law Enforcement Complaint Agency directly.
