Apprenticeship opportunities, workforce development and the future of skilled trades in the Bay of Quinte region will be the focus of an upcoming visit by Skilled Trades Ontario (STO) CEO Candice White to Belleville as part of STO on the Road, a province-wide community engagement initiative.
The Belleville stop at Loyalist College will bring together apprentices, employers, educators and industry partners to discuss apprenticeship pathways, workforce development and opportunities in the skilled trades.
White will also provide an update on Skilled Trades Ontario’s priorities and ongoing efforts to support apprentices and employers across the province, followed by an open discussion on the role skilled trades play in supporting the regional economy.
The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Nourish Room, 2H27 on 376 Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
