Aircraft from CFB Trenton spent much of the weekend conducting a search for an overdue plane in the Kawartha Lakes region.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre at CFB Trenton posted late last night that they were continuing to look for an aircraft that was reported overdue on Friday morning.
Durham Regional Police issued a post on social media about the missing man on Friday. It is included below.
The missing male departed from the Oshawa Airport at 8:30 a.m. on August 14, 2026.
David, age 73, is an experienced pilot and departed the airport in a single home-built aircraft and was expected to return at 9:30 a.m.
He is described as: male, 5’7” tall, with a slim build. He has black/grey hair and a moustache.
The aircraft is described as a blue and yellow single home-built aircraft.
David typically flies in the area south of Kawartha Lakes township and north of Lake Scugog, however the last known location of the aircraft is believed to be around Balsam Lake.
