On Thursday August 13, 2026 around 6:30 p.m., Belleville Police received a report of a potential road-rage incident in which two vehicles sideswiped one another.
The driver of one vehicle was concerned the other driver may have been consuming alcohol.
The two male drivers were involved in a verbal altercation, with both parties observed to be yelling and swearing at each other. Following the collision, one of the drivers subsequently left the area, travelling south on North Park Street toward College Street.
Officers later confirmed the vehicle and driver that left the scene were associated with an address in Brighton. The investigation into this two-vehicle collision, including an allegation of failing to remain at the scene, is ongoing.
