Westbound 401 reopened following fatal crash Wednesday night near Kingston

The westbound 401 has reopened after being closed for several hours overnight following a fatal crash near Kingston.

The westbound lanes were closed at Montreal Street following a collision on Wednesday night around 8 pm.

Frontenac OPP confirmed that one person died in the crash.

They reopened the westbound lanes at Montreal Street shortly before 5 am on Thursday.

No other details have been released.
