UPDATE – One lane reopened at 9:40 am. The vehicle is a complete write-off but there were no injuries. They hope to have the second lane open by 10 am.
ORIGINAL STORY – A vehicle fire has caused major traffic delays on the 401 near Marysville on Monday morning.
A fire was reported on a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the 401 between Marysville and Deseronto Road shortly after 9 am.
Traffic has been very slow through the area (backed up for several kilometres and possibly closed).
Expect major delays in that area until they can clear the scene.
Tyendinaga Township Fire Department is the lead agency on scene.
