Judith M. of Trenton is celebrating after winning a $100,000 top prize with CROSSWORD TRIPLER (Game #3310).
Judith, a retired educational assistant, said she’s been playing the lottery with OLG for years. She enjoys LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49, but SCRATCH tickets are her favourite. CROSSWORD in particular has become a fun part of her weekly routine.
One weekend, while watching the Jays game at home, Judith decided to scratch her ticket.
“I checked it using the OLG app on my phone. At first, I thought I’d won $10, then $100, then… OMG! I scanned my ticket three times to be sure I was reading it correctly,” she recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her winnings.
After realizing she’d won $100,000, Judith shared the incredible news with her partner.
“I put the ticket away in our safe immediately and kept the news a secret for several weeks before sharing it with anyone else. I told a couple friends and my mom. When I went to validate my ticket at the store, the clerk’s eyes went so wide! I got hugs all around from the staff at the store.”
With her windfall, Judith looks forward to travelling. She would like to visit the East Coast and take a dream vacation to Hawaii. A hot air balloon ride is also on her wish list.
“I’m still pinching myself!” Judith said with a smile. “I feel so grateful.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Metro on Quinte Street in Trenton.
