Thursday could be a dangerous day in the Quinte Region when it comes the weather.
Environment Canada has now issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for a widespread area which includes Belleville, Quinte West, Prince Edward County, Madoc, Marmora, Tweed, Napanee, Kingston and Brighton.
The thunderstorm risk greatly increases starting in the 2 o’clock hour. More details below.
What: Localized rainfall amounts up to 60 mm. Wind gusts up to 90 km/h.
When: This afternoon and early evening.
Additional Information: Localized areas that receive multiple thunderstorms are expected to see the highest amounts. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.
