A teenage male from Prince Edward County has been charged with assault in Belleville following an incident over the weekend.
On July 25, 2026, at 4:14 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a business on North Front Street regarding an assault.
Upon arrival, officers learned that three male youths approached a youth victim and initiated a verbal altercation. The situation escalated when one of the males reportedly physically assaulted the victim, pulling him to the ground and punching him.
As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old Prince Edward County male, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), was located, arrested, and charged with:
