Impaired driving charges issued in two separate Belleville incidents

Two separate impaired driving investigations for Belleville Police this weekend.

Belleville Police were called to the area of Bridge Street and Ann Street on Saturday at 8:30 p.m., after a vehicle hit a pole. The suspected driver was nearby when officers arrived. Robert Thompson of Belleville is facing impaired driving charges. The 61-year-old has been released with an August court date.

Officers were called out on Sunday just after 8 p.m. with a report of an impaired driver in the west-end. The suspected driver and vehicle were located. Andrew Sine of Belleville, is also facing impaired driving charges. The 47-year-old has been released with a September court date.
