The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation celebrated another year of philanthropy and community impact at its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, held at the Quinte West Municipal Offices.
TMHF generated $4,136,000 in revenue during the year through donations, investment income, grants, and fundraising events.
The Stranded in Style Gala, which raised more than $451,000 net, and the John Smylie Memorial Golf Classic, which generated $132,501, were among their very successful signature events this year.
TMHF was also named Not-for-Profit of the Year at the Quinte Business Achievement Awards.
The Foundation supported priority equipment purchases, healthcare programs, and the EMERGE Stronger Campaign, an initiative to expand and modernize the Emergency Department, fund essential equipment, and support Lumeo, Quinte West’s shared digital Health Information System.
TMHF also recognized Pam Pettigrew as its recipient of the 2026 Wendy Warner Philanthropy Award.
Pam dedicated more than four decades of her career to Trenton Memorial Hospital as a physiotherapist and has continued to give back through volunteer service, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to patient care and community well-being.
“This past year was a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together behind its hospital,” said Lindsay Butcher-Dodds, Executive Director of TMHF. “Every donor, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter played a role in strengthening healthcare close to home. We are incredibly grateful for the trust our community places in us and the impact we are making together.”
Kay Stafford’s generous spirit continues to make a lasting impact across Quinte West and surrounding communities.
The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation (TMHF) was also proud to announce $104,571 in grants, bursaries, and professional development funding through the Kay Stafford Fund at their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday.
The fund supports healthcare, education, and wellness initiatives throughout the region, distributing more than $2.2 million to over 95 charitable organizations, students, and healthcare professionals since its founding.
This year, the fund awarded more than $80,000 to 15 community organizations in support of youth programs, food security, transportation, healthcare equipment, accessibility, and community wellness.
Recipients of the Kay Stafford fund included Quinte Access, Community Partners for Success, Our TMH, the Learning Foundation, Quinte West Youth Centre, YMCA of Central East Ontario, Hospice Quinte, Lions Club of Trenton, Children’s Safety Village, and several other local organizations.
Eight students pursuing careers in healthcare also received bursaries awarded at $1,000 each. $23,000 in bursaries was also awarded to Trenton Memorial Hospital staff to support continuing education and professional development.
