The Municipality of Brighton proudly unveiled its new logo and refreshed brand on Thursday while celebrating the people, places and shared values that define Brighton. The new brand reflects both the spirit of the Brighton community and the organization that serves it.

The Brand Launch Event welcomed local dignitaries, community partners, and staff an opportunity to learn about the brand story, discover the inspiration behind the new logo, and hear how the visual identity will be implemented through a phased implementation plan. The refreshed brand will provide a consistent and recognizable visual identity across municipal services, communications, and community spaces, strengthening how Brighton is represented both locally and beyond.

With the new brand officially launched, the next phase will focus on thoughtful integration across municipal marketing, communications, and public-facing materials. The Municipality’s approach will be steady and strategic, starting with high-visibility touchpoints and expanding gradually. This work will include:

  • Auditing and replacing wayfinding signage
  • Promoting brand storytelling
  • Developing brand campaigns
  • Creating engagement through fun and creative initiatives
  • Updating municipal vehicles
  • Ongoing brand maintenance

About the Brand Refresh:

The Municipality of Brighton began the first phase of its visual identity refresh in late June 2025. The initiative aimed to modernize the municipality’s corporate brand while thoughtfully reflecting its past, present, and bright future.

To develop the renewed visual identity, the Municipality retained the services from The Blondes, a Kitchener-based branding agency. Together, they completed an extensive eight-week consultation process that invited input from a wide range of voices across the community.

The initiative to pursue a visual identity refresh was approved by Council during the 2025 Operating Budget.
