Belleville man arrested on warrant at traffic stop

A Belleville man wanted on an outstanding warrant was arrested following a traffic stop on Wednesday.

On May 13th at 4:04am, Belleville Police conducted a traffic stop in the city’s east end.

While speaking with the driver, officers learned he had an outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrant for uttering threats.

As a result of investigation, a 21-year-old Belleville man was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in June.

His name was not released.
