Residents and visitors alike will have many opportunities to engage with Prince Edward County’s rich history and heritage all month during Flashback February.
“Last year, we expanded Flashback February to span the entire month, and we couldn’t be happier with the response. We are thrilled to once again offer a varied and exciting line-up of events taking place across Prince Edward County throughout February, says Jessica Chase, Curator with The County Museums.
“Our partners are looking forward to building on last year’s momentum to provide experiences that will engage the community during a typically quiet time of year.”
2026 marks the ninth year of Flashback February, presented by The County Museums in partnership with multiple community organizations and businesses. Flashback February was originally conceived to mark Ontario Heritage Week in late February.
Flashback February kicks off on Tuesday, February 3 with a four-week series “Trace Your Roots Tuesdays” with the Marilyn Adams Genealogical Research Centre. Every Tuesday, from 10 am – 12 pm and 1 – 3 pm, drop in to the centre to digitize old family photos and research your family history. Attendees are invited to come for an hour — or stay all day — and dive into their family roots with the centre’s volunteer team, located at 528 County Road 19 in Ameliasburgh.
