School buses cancelled in Quinte on Wednesday

The overnight snowfall is leading to more last-minute arrangements for parents across the Quinte Region on Wednesday.

Tri-Board Transportation has cancelled all school buses today for their entire coverage area, which includes Hastings County, Prince Edward County, Lennox and Addington and Kingston.

Mohawk Bus Lines has also cancelled all school buses for Wednesday.

STSCO has also cancelled all school buses in Northumberland.

TRI-BOARD NOTICE – Due to snow received overnight and ongoing snow conditions on most secondary & side roads, all school bus and taxi transportation is cancelled in the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services service area today.

Schools will remain open however any students driven to school by parents/guardians will need to be picked up at the end of the day.

STSCO NOTICE – Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 – ALL SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION CANCELLED – Please be advised that, due to poor road,  driving conditions, and clean-up of overnight snowfall. In the interest of safety, bus and transportation service is cancelled to ALL schools in the STSCO jurisdiction for the day. This includes all KPR, PVNC and MonAvenir schools in Peterborough City and County, Northumberland County and Clarington.  Schools will remain open but all busing is cancelled. Posted 5:45 am.
