QW building numbers down early in 2026

The City of Quinte West has outlined its building numbers for the month of January.
City building officials stated 33 permits were issued last month at a value of more than $3.4 million.
That is lower than the 48 permits issued in January 2025 worth around $6 million.
The largest permit issued was $1.1 million for ‘On-Site Services’ at 17499 Highway 2, while five $250,000 permits were issued for self-storage buildings without plumbing at 16 Tate Road.
