One person arrested following police operation in Napanee area

One person is in custody following a large police operation on Monday night in the Napanee area.

Lennox and Addington OPP posted on social media at 6:51 pm that there was a heavy police presence in the area of Hambly Rd for an ongoing investigation.

They were asking people to avoid the area, though they also said there was no threat to public safety.

Just over two hours later, they said that one person was in police custody following a disturbance.

They cleared the scene a short time later. No other details were provided.

More information is expected on Tuesday.
