A Belleville woman faces several charges after an incident involving a knife over the long weekend.

On Saturday at 12:38am, Belleville Police responded to the area of College Street East regarding a report of weapons.

It was reported that an unknown female began walking towards a male, pulled a knife from her jacket, and continued walking towards him with the knife raised.

The male was reportedly unharmed.

Upon arrival, officers located a suspect and located three knives.

As a result of investigation, Lacy Gagne, 39yearold Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

She was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court in April.
