OPP officers across eastern Ontario have responded to around 100 collisions between midnight and early this afternoon.
Most have involved vehicles sliding into the ditch. Thankfully, most involved either no injuries or minor injuries.
If Quinte residents are heading out today, OPP East Region encourages them to check 511on.ca for updated road conditions, give extra time and adjust driving to match the conditions. That includes slowing down, leaving extra following distance and keeping headlight systems turned on.
Check your windshield washer fluid before you hit the road and top it up… you will need it. If you find yourself behind a working snow plow – stay there. They are working to make the roads safer for you.
